Brief description Australia was the first country to implement a national vaccination program for human papillomavirus (HPV) which is the primary cause of cervical cancer. However national vaccination coverage remains suboptimal at 77% in girls. Through a partnership between researchers and health departments (Tasmania, Western Australia and New South Wales) we will conduct research to determine barriers to vaccination and evaluate the cost and impact of innovative strategies to increase vaccination coverage.
