Brief description Prof. Ivo Mueller is the pre-eminent malaria epidemiologist in the South-West Pacific and a global leader in research, control and elimination of P. vivax malaria. Over the last 18 years he built highly successful research program that combines field research on 4 continents with in-depth laboratory studies into the complex interaction between malarial parasites, mosquito vectors and human with the aim of developing novel tools and approaches to accelerate malaria control and elimination.
