Title	Weak decays of charged K mesons and charm particles

Abstract	In the first part of the paper the contribution of the bubble chamber in the early and mid 1960s to the understanding of the strangeness changing weak interaction is discussed by means of selected examples in charged K decay. In the second part of the paper the extension of the technique in the late 1970s and early 1980s needed to investigate charm particle properties is briefly discussed. Selected results from bubble chamber experiments are compared with theoretical predictions and with the present experimental information.
