Abstract
In this report we describe version 4.0 of the EVEREST post-processor module which forms part of the EVEREST suite of programs. The post-processor allows the user to visualise the results of simulations performed by the Everest Solver module. The input required is the device geometry, mesh, doping and solution variables. Using cut planes through the device, the post-processor supports contour, isometric, line and vector plots of most physical quantities of interest. Current-voltage characteristics and transient response can also be displayed. This report outlines the methods used and gives full details of the user interface. The EVEREST suite is one of the products of the ESPIRIT project EVEREST (ESPIRIT 962E - 17, Three -Dimensional Algorithms for a Robust and Efficient Semiconductor Simulator with Parameter Extraction). The original authors of the post-processor module were P.A. Mawby, M.S. Towers, G.A. Duffet, J. Zhang and G.J. Huang of University College, Swansea.
