Title A study of language for the specification of Grid Security Policies
Contributors
Abstract This report presents a study of various semantic languages. Our objective is to identify the most suitable language for the specification of grid security policies. A policy-driven approach to security requirements of grid data management systems (GDMS) heavily relies on the choice of some appropriate language for the expression of the policies. In this report, we have first identified a number of semantic languages that can be employed for the specification of grid security policies followed by a comparative analysis of these languages. We have used several criteria for the comparison of these languages - such as their suitability to specify grid security policies, their expressiveness, their representation techniques, their reasoning strength, and their deployment characteristics.
