Abstract
A technique based on UTD and ray tracing for predicting the propagation effects produced by diffraction is described. The present approach contains a deterministic procedure of finding diffraction paths, which significantly reduces the computational requirements when compared with conventional ray tracing. Applications of the model to urban and indoor-outdoor propagation predictions are presented. Simulation results are compared with indoor-outdoor measured data, illustrating excellent agreement.
