Abstract
High proton polarizations and long relaxation times have been observed in 50:50 mixtures of glycerol and water containing porphyrexide by using the solid effect. Results are reported for temperatures down to 0.28°K, and for magnetic fields between 19.6 and 29.4 kG. Comments are made on this material with regard to its suitability for use as a 'frozen target' material.
