abstract = {Botryosphaeriales signifies an imperative, diverse fungal order of pathogens, saprobes and endophytes reported worldwide. Latest research in China have discovered a broad range of species in Botryosphaeriales, of some have not been formerly described. This study with 60 isolates enhances the rising awareness, through introducing three novel species and fifteen previously known species of Botryosphaeriales in southwestern China. These species were isolated from decaying woody hosts, suggesting they could be saprobes. The isolates were compared with other species through available DNA sequence data inferring phylogenetic analyses based on the ITS, LSU and tef gene loci, while centered on morphology. Three novel species were illustrated and described as Botryobambusa guizhouensis, Sardiniella elliptica and Sphaeropsis guizhouensis besides they belong to rarely identified genera within Botryosphaeriaceae. Botryobambusa guizhouensis is the second species in the respective monotypic genus. Fifteen known species were identified as Aplosporella hesperidica, Barriopsis tectonae, Botryosphaeria dothidea, Diplodia mutila, Di. neojuniperi, Di. pseudoseriata, Di. sapinea, Di. seriata, Dothiorella sarmentorum, Do. yunnana, Lasiodiplodia pseudotheobromae, Neofusicoccum parvum, Sardiniella celtidis, Sa. guizhouensis and Sphaeropsis citrigena. The indication of this study proposes that numerous species of Botryosphaeriales endure to be revealed in southwestern China.}

Verify that analyses are not missing and that, where possible, analysis

parameters).
Verify that taxon labels are mapped against TreeBASE's taxonomic
dictionary. Data in TreeBASE can only be found using a taxon name search if
