Composer ’G. Pelletier’ in this collection may be identifiable as Guillaume le Pelletier, apprenticed to Fezandat in 1543 (Frank Dobbins: ’Fezandat, Michel’ - Grove Online).

Copy at K.8.i.4.(2.). Imperfect. Bassus part book only. Ms. inscription on flyleaf in a contemporary hand: Cantiones, madrigali, psalmi, proverbia, & moteta, duarum, trium, et quatuor vocum. Quatuor libellis comprehe[n]sa. Succentor. Musica non lasciviae: sed laudando Deo ac excitandis ad virtutem ingenijs, mitigandisg[us] curarum molestijs, coelitus donata est. Brown leather binding with decorative gold tooling. "Succentor" on front cover, "A 2, 3 et 4 vocu" on spine, "Adriani sc Holastici" on back cover.
