Ok, so it’s a silly play on words but I have to say that Obama’s choice for VP is not particularly inspiring. This election, for the most part, is Obama’s to lose and I have to say he’s been doing a pretty good job of it. Thank goodness.
The doctors said that after my surgery, I would likely start to feel better within a few weeks. Now that the primary pain of the surgery is waning (yay, no more vicodin!) I’ve got to admit that I already feel like the surgery has successfully resolved at least some of the issues I’d been having. I can honestly say that I feel really good for the first time in months, especially first thing in the morning when I wake up. I know it will be a few more weeks before I will really start noticing any major improvement but so far, things are looking good.
My surgery on Wednesday went fine. No problems whatsoever. The one interesting bit is that they gave me vicodin for the pain. It’s been quite a while since I’ve had vicodin and I while it’s never had that strong of an effect on me, the most pronounced side effect has been extremely vivid dreams. So vivid that after waking I’ve had to actively convince myself that I actually was awake and that the dream was in fact a dream. The level of detail and clarity in each of the dreams has been absolutely amazing. I don’t plan on staying on the vicodin for much longer as the pain in my stomache is starting to become manageable without it but it’s definitely made for a few interesting nights :-)
I am having minor outpatient surgery on Wednesday August 6th. Will be out of work for about a week and out of my martial arts training for two weeks. Nothing serious, but it will hopefully resolve the various issues I’ve been dealing with for the past few months.
