Brief description Nerve growth factor, brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is the most studied neurotrophin whose roles in the brain development have been well characterized. Understanding the functional roles of proBDNF in the adult neurogensis will have implications not only in normal brain functions and but also in the pathological significance of neurological diseases. This project may lead to the application of these factors for the treatment of AD.
