Title An approach to encapsulation of Grid processing within an OGC Web Processing Service

Abstract Grid computing provides efficient means of executing resource-intensive processes, and thus should be beneficial to the Geospatial community that has an increasing need for performing highly complex geo-processing operations involving large geographical datasets. This paper presents an approach to grid-enabling OGC standard Web Processing Service that utilises the fundamental similarities and differences between WPS and Grid computing.
